Feb. 22 Reflection

Today I almost finished setting up the layers on my colour theory work. I learned how to create the layers today, because I was having problems making them on thursday and I had to start over today again. Layers made changing colours of certain parts of the picture easier because I was having difficulty with it before.

Feb. 18 Reflection

Today I finished my logo banner and i began to work on the colour theory pictures. I learned how to change the colour of a single part of a picture instantly . I found the picture i had to be interesting.

What is the difference between shade and tint?
Shade is a colour produced by the addition of black. Tint is a colour produced by the addition of white.

What is the colour system used for printing?
The Printers' color triangle, which uses cyan, magenta and yellow as the primary colours.

How can you ensure proper colour rendering in print?

How do you determine the dominant colour?
The colour with largest proportion.

How can you create an accent with colour?
Colours with a small relative area, but offer a contrast because of a variation in hue, intensity, or saturation.

Feb. 16 Reflection

Today I did my Web 2.0 powerpoint presentation and then began my logo banner for my blog. I learned basic things about fireworks when I went through the tutorial. I found this program interesting, as I have never used it. This program reminds me of photobucket since it is fairly similar in many ways.

Feb. 15 Reflection

Today we watched Web 2.0 powerpoint presentations. I learned things about many different 2.0 websites such as flickr and i found many of these sites to be very useful. I noticed that some people had better powerpoints than me.

Feb. 10 Reflection

Today I planned out my presentation and what I will be saying. I also finished up the research on craigslist's competitors and I found out that ebay started selling collectiveables, instead of what i thought, which were everyday items. I found it interesting how one man began ebay and became a billionare after about 4 years of running it.

Feb. 9 Reflection

Today I learned how to use powerpoint and put images in it. I also learned how to make a proper powerpoint and not a boring one. My only question today is, how long does the powerpoint have to be?

Today I learned more things about craigslist, such as they dont only offer selling/buying services but other listings such as jobs. I am now done most of my research and I will start working on my presentation. I'm looking forward to learning how to use Powerpoint better as I only know small basic functions.

Today I learned what a Web 2.0 website is and I picked the website I'm using for my project. I was wondering if any website that has a chat or a place to comment would qualify as web 2.0?
I think its interesting how there is a lot of websites that are web 2.0 and i didn't expect that.

Feb. 2 Reflection

I learned how to properly site sources from the internet when i use them. My only question is what do I put if I don't find a date for a certain source, such as the sound I cited.

First Blog

My expectations of this course are to learn basic computer skills needed for game designing. I'm looking forward to doing Module #5 the most since it includes game design. I want to learn about computer languages such as Java.
